i've been a little bit slacking on the posting and reading lately - moving, travelling, and working will do that to you.. yes? :)

anyways. i've also been feeling a bit of the pull for the lace knitting, and have acquired a few different things - however, haven't actually created with any of them. *sigh*

i'll look forward to what you come up with. :)

I also ditto the above but then, does it really have to go on for the full 9mths as it did with my first? Anyway, glad to hear you're feeling better.
I've also never knitted a shawl, and since having children have avoided lace (as it's difficult to pick the pattern back up once having to put it down after untangling children, mopping up spilt dinner or running up and down the stairs every ten mins trying to get one (or all) of the blighters to sleep!).

Hope all goes well for you.

I haven't actually made a real lace shawl yet, but I'm working towards it. Lots of patterns in mind.. Leaf Lace by Evelyn Clark, Icarus from IK, Shetland Triangle, Forest Canopy Shawl is supposed to be a good one to start with. I bought Victorian Lace Today and there are quite a few in there that are just beautiful. I also just saw the Cherry Blossom Shawl from IK Spring 2002 and I'm in love with that one! Nothing original in those suggestions really, just the ones I've seen around and caught my eye.

I also just read about a place to get a good deal on Zephyr Lace (wool/silk) -- Sarah's Yarns: http://www.sarahsyarns.com/JSZephyr.html

Good luck deciding! I have my laceweight but I just cannot decide what pattern to do!

Ditto what Kris said. :) Probably the same reason the 3 year old only wants bread and peanut butter. Nothing "with spices."

I can't help with the laciness. I've only made a clapotis and lacy socks. The clapotis is faboo for a nursing coverup, btw. It saved my bacon on the trip to Chicago.

Have a safe trip!

Glad to here that you are feeling better.

One of the theories behind morning sickness is that it prevents pregnant women from eating something that could be potentially dangerous to the baby.
