Gentlepersons, behold!
Pattern: Fetching at Knitty!
Yarn: KnitPicks Merino Style in Tide Pool (123 yds/50g)
Needles: Size 6 DPNs
My office is cold. Cold enough I wear a hat and now these in my cube. That’s what 1930’s era heating facilities will get you-half the building at 98 degrees, the other half at 52.
I used one skein of the Merino Style and there was plenty left over. So if you are worried about running out, fear not! 123 yards of a worsted weight is plenty! I did an extra repeat on the knuckles end of things and these guys fit me like-wait for it-a glove.
I have issues with the directions to pick up stitches for the thumb, however. Maybe it’s because I’ve only knit two pairs of mitten like objects and I need some more schooling in the matter. Maybe because the way described doesn’t work for my method of knitting. Whatever the case, it sounds to me like it calls for a swatch! (See how I’m using the word constructively? I think I’ve grown.)
